september 3
Another big start to this month with a trip to Ewood park
but in fairness
the Checktrade trophy is a bit of a farce, and something i cant be dealing with
it doesnt make any revenue as attendances are poor, and even the winners get less than a 3rd round FA cup appearance
that being coupled with having to play far better teams, including premiership academies means i have no time for it at all
i'll be rotating players, and making sure i experiment with the squad
Meh
it is what it is
we had more ball than them but even against 10 men we rarely troubled but seeing as Rabbi, Puig and Redshaw all were rested, its understandable
not too fussed about this at all, its a distraction we dont need
Another good win away from home
105 of the best fans in the country followed us to Crawley and were treated to a masterclass in counter attacking
Redsahw scored from the spot after Rabbi was brought down, and Rabbi himself scored just after half time to seal the win
11 points won
28 to go
But...
Familiar story this
i feel for him, he always seems to pick up these month long or so knocks as he hits form
what could have been for Jack without these?
we will never know
Balboa, Youre up
Yeah he is!
we went behind after 2 minutes but battled like nothing ive ever seen before
Rabbi again just after half time scored, he's turning into something special this lad
and Balboa, 70 minutes in (and just as he was coming off) nearly broke the net from 20 yards to see us over the line, what a win!
14 points
25 to go
I feel for the 69 lads who travelled to Plymouth to watch us not even turn up ourselves
we got battered fair and square
im not dwelling on this one
write off
25 points needed
this is more like it
the lads played their hearts out and got a win we deserved
after scunthorpe pulled one back, we looked ropey but pulled through in the end
22 points needed now
someone who will be missed dearly
Puig has been a revelation since joining from Barcelona but only in patches
hopefully he comes back from this firing
we had more of the ball
and probably the best of the play
but class showed here and Yeovil put us to the sword
tough game that we didnt expect much from so its one to forget
22 points needed
He's blossomed into a real player so far showing a maturity beyond his years
8 weeks would be hard to take, lets hope his determination drags him through this injury and back into the team sooner rather than later
another good month with 3 wins and 2 losses in the league
im not even counting the Blackburn game
we've made a huge dent in the points needed column for survival, and even find ourselves in the playoff positions
im not holding hopes for that though, its way too early for that
22 points, thats all im looking forward to
