March 2

our most congested month of the season
with 4 big players missing
and a team full of tired legs, tired minds

they needed a pep talk of a lifetime to get them through this

"right lads, i know things havent been going too well recently, but i know you've got what it takes to do this"

"the players didnt respond"

great work

our new look inside forwards played their part here and got us a big win
when they play like this, theyre both championship quality
just a shame they cant do this week in week out
and after this win, Redshaw was back available
Robson hasnt scored, but he's done a job

Redshaw is back and our fortunes change now we go back to our conventional wingers
albeit with help from an own goal we do the double over early season favourites Torquay
3 points much needed here and we did just enough
the crowds we are drawing are growing each week with anticipation too

a Very good win
Rabbi has turned some good performances recently and unsung hero Mafuta got a much deserved goal this week
but yet again, you can see what happened

Why cant you just be a bit fitter Jack?!

Thankfully Hooper is back now, so we can go for a new look front 3 with Puig playing a false 9 esque striker role with hooper and Rabbi either side.

And it worked!
Puig is the new messi
well, lets not get carried away, woking are awful.

but its 3 points, and they are vital at this stage.

Puig turns in another diamond of a performance in the false 9 role but we threw away a lead on 3 occasions in this game

that should have been 3 points for sure

a personal highlight for me coming up
100 games in management!
lets top it off with a win in the first leg of the FA trophy Semi final

Or not
we just cant beat Chelmsford
they bossed from start to finish and put us behind going into the home leg
although, Balboa is back, giving us another option, but im sticking with Puig through the middle for now..

from 2-0 down this isnt too bad
but in the grand scheme of things, a big 2 points dropped.
another double for Rabbi takes his tally to 16 for the season
not bad for an 18 year old in a new country on the wing!

now

the second leg!

It just wasnt to be
we went ahead in the tie in the 87th minute, but a sucker punch took it to extra time and with all the injuries and fatigue, we just never had a chance after 90 minutes with the entire squad exhausted
hooper scored but got injured, along with buckley
how bad would they be?

BAD
Hooper's injury sees him out for nearly a year
with his contract expiring, he could also be one for the door, although, he's got years in the tank, so we might renew
Buckley's season is over
he only played cameos here and there but was more than useful
a good use of a loan for sure.

a great start, but a bad end sees us drop to 2nd

but due to the FA trophy games, we have a game in hand

6 to go

can we pull this off?

surely not?

the most deseved thing ive seen all season

the lad didnt stop running, scoring, or assisting all month

Well done Rabbi!
