Here we go
Vanarama national league is upon us and i feel well prepared
starting at Boreham wood isnt too bad, theyre mid table candidates and should ease us in a bit
Hartlepool, we will smash them again wont we...
something tells me 6-1 would be a longshot this time around, itll be nice to see cassidy again though if he plays
Fylde should have gone up last season and are promotion chalengers for sure, theyll be tough
Halifax are an unknown quantity, lets see.
anyway, this is how the mighty Ammies will be starting the season lining up.
Crocombe keeps his place in goal and rightfully so, he's probably of league 2 quality at the moment
Lewis comes in at left back, and im unsure as to my first choice right back, Shepherd and Gibson will fight it out early on to win that spot i feel
Livesey and Hogan for now are first choice, but Piergianni will have a say im sure
Mafuta will sit deep and protect the back four in our more defensive look this year
Burge and Maynard proved their quality last season and will hold their places
this is where we see change
Phenix drops down, Emmanuel wont cut it at this level yet
so we have a very new look to our DPR front three
the electric Djonhambo, the messi-esque Puig and super Jack Redshaw make up a front three teams even a level above would dream of.
lets do this
1 game, 1 win
And for Redshaw its like we havent even moved up a league as he smashes in a hat-trick to see off boreham by half time.
59% possession shows we are getting a bit more stable too, onwards and upwards!
easy 6-1 coming up next too...
right then
Hartlepool are good value for money, thats for sure
Hat-tricks for Puig and Djonhambo show they arent hanging around "settling in" and just want goals
Cassidy bagged 2 too, maybe we should have looked to bring him in during pre-season
especially seeing as...
but nonetheless 2 from 2,it's easy this league...
This was a big result
Emmanuel proved me wrong and grabbed the winner after we came from behind against Fylde.
3 from 3, Invincibles anyone?
Serves me right that
anyway, the less said the better
3 wins and 1 loss puts us 3rd
its too early to tell anything, but its certainly a good start and the team do seem to be gelling better than expected early on
and one man in particular has hit the ground running..
3 goals, 4 assists and an absoloutley awesome start to life in salford for Puig
Djonhambo got 3 goals and 2 assists too, these two are pure fire when theyre on form.
